| Since Fall 2009, 992s no longer work at the SCO at most S&S. It depends on the type of POS system the specific store is using. The crappy ones that jam up all the time, with the coupon slot underneath the scanning bed and no way to mute them - those still work. But watch out for the roving Nazis with the PDA or the quad setup with the podium (converted A&P/Waldbaum perhaps?). They can see your transactions fairly easily. I suspect there is also an easy way to monitor them remotely at,say, the manager's or LP's desk. |
